Education and training in the formation of the identity of Islamic civilization and the training of specialized, committed, and creative human resources are emphasized by previous studies. The lack of adaptation of the educational structure and content to the real needs of the country, insufficient attention to the livelihood and status of teachers, and quantitative and qualitative shortcomings of human resources are among the fundamental challenges of the country's educational system. This descriptive-analytical and library-type research aims to examine the position of the education and training system in the revival of the modern Islamic civilization from the perspective of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, and to explain the challenges and opportunities facing it. Based on the findings of this research, attention and prevention of harms such as: focusing solely on scientific learning and not paying enough attention to spiritual and moral education and training, as well as optimal use of valuable opportunities such as a young population and talented human resources, rich cultural and civilizational support, and spiritual capacities such as religious teachings, seminary and university scientific centers, and religious spaces are emphasized by the Supreme Leader of the Revolution. Taking advantage of the aforementioned opportunities and mobilizing all capacities to reform and revise the educational system in order to lay the groundwork for realizing the ideal of a modern Islamic civilization is another approach from this perspective.
